I really like UNT's chances in this game. Winthrop doesn't even try to play defense and they hung with 'Nova most of the game. Mean Green needs to be smart and efficient on the offensive end and just do what you do on defense...and it's on to the Sweet 16, baby!

Nova is better matchup than Purdue...Heart and soul out for season for the Wildcats, UNT has a great opportunity here..

+1 this is a very winnable game for the UNT. Nova is an injured cat and if you play it right they will go down.

If UNT just plays that stifling defense they like to play, the Mean Green will be fine. Hamlet, Bell and Reese will do the rest.

If UNT plays the same game they've played against Purdue they'll have an excellent shot at winning against Villanova.

So excited for tomorrow night. Hope the boys can stay focused and not just be content with one win.

Nova was a popular pick to be upset in the first round. Very winnable game. You're getting that 5/12 upset dynamic in the 2nd round. HUGE opportunity.

Villanova has lost 3 of their last 5 so they are beatable just have to play solid defense and keep Jerimiah Robinson-Earl in check best you can, they are pretty efficient offensively based on their shooting numbers.

SMU has been trying to claim the Dallas region as their territory, but UNT holds to the opinion that it is part a part of the Mean Green Nation. A win by North Texas tonight will help UNT grow more fans in the area, and disrupt SMU's agenda. Just another way this game is important for C-USA.

A gift, indeed.

But, make no mistake, UNT can't underestimate Villanova. The Nova is not going to go down easy. They are a gritty, tournament tested team, with national championship experience. Their players are mostly inner city kids who have seen is all. So, yes, UNT can win, but UNT has got to focus on that excellent DEFENSE that got 'em there.
