Cal said some pretty mean things to him over the years lol...but he has an NIT Championship and won a ring with the Miami Heat.

No one would've bet that he'd have the best NBA career of anyone on that team. He was such a nice guy too. Happy for him.

Yea, Earl was a really nice guy and Cal's coaching style didn't gel well with his personality. And at that time Cal didn't adjust. He learned to later in his career at Memphis(a bit) and at UK(much more) but at that time Cal was a straight up ******* not to just the players but to pretty much everyone he met.

Barron, in my remembering, finished at the basket about as well as any big we've had. If he got to the basket & got the shot off, it went in. Wish we had that consistency now. And yes, he could shoot FTs too.

Cal was always nice to me. Pastner too.
