Loyola looked like the better team from the beginning, to the end.

Michiagn and Iowa should...

Nevertheless...Maryland and Rutgers had 100% no business being in the tournament. I'd have put Boise State, Colorado State and probably Memphis should have been in before those two average (at best) teams.

Although...I will say, the Mountain West (who I was high on the entire year) have really made me look foolish with the two schools that got in.

Thank you Sister Jean. Always a great day when the Illness get embarrassed. Lots of dead money in Vegas now.

Marquette or De Paul would be lateral moves.

I believe he's making just under $1.1M a year. I'd assume either one of those schools could top that (considering Leitao was making 1.3 and I think Wojo was making about 1.75M) but Loyola probably could as well.

I'm just not certain he's interested in leaving.

You're crazy if you think going from the MVC to the Big East is a lateral move. Bottom line is going to be the money; is there enough to make the change worth the rebuilding effort versus less money to maintain or build upon what's been done at Loyola. Also, picture being successful in two or three years and the crowd at Gentile (4,486) cheering for you versus being cheered for at Wintrust (10,387) or the new Fiserv Forum (17,000) which will make Marquette one of two Big East teams to play home games in an NBA arena.

Is playing in an NBA arena really that big of a deal? Georgetown has been doing it since 1997 and, despite their little run through the Big East Tournament this year, I don't know that I'd point to that program and think playing in Capital One Arena really helps them all that much. Because if it has....they must really suck.

I mean, I'd think playing in Hinkle is way cooler than playing in Fiserv or Capital One.

In the WNIT, both Ohio and Bowling Green are playing for regional consolation championships.

Ohio vs UMASS in Charlotte and Bowling Green vs Drake in Rockford.

9 bids. 1 team makes it past first weekend. What a showing.

As of this minute (9 p.m.), Maryland is still alive, but even with a comeback, it's not that two out of nine surviving is that good. At the same time, how far away is the MAC from even getting two teams into the field. Outside of the ILL-ness losing, I don't take that much pleasure in someone else's defeats.

With 11:52 to play they're down 23. Ain't happening.

Biggest myth of the entire season was the so called dominance of the B10 this year.
