Nice for me....U of M wins NIT and a Texas team where my grandson went to school wins the NCAA.

They weren't innuendos. Among other things, there were text messages to the coach of Hanna Perea from the assistant coach (Drew's friend) threatening a Columbian native with deportation if he did not commit to Baylor. I think Baylor got put on probably for 3 years. Can't remember.
I'll give the guy credit, though...it took him 18 years but he finally got there.

Well, Gonzaga and Few are CURSED.. This was their year and they got dominated from beginning to end.. They will never win a NC.
Kudos to Baylor though... They were a formidable team who got better and better with each passing game in the NCAA Tourney.. Arkansas played the game of their life and still couldn't beat them.. then Baylor run Houston out of the building.. Gonzaga escaping UCLA with a buzzer beater was a sign for what it was coming for them.

I had one of those Facebook memories pop up a couple of days ago, after Cal left, in which I was campaigning hard for Scott Drew to be the next Memphis BB coach. I could relive the timeline in the replies of Geoff shitting all over the idea with this article and R.C. subsequently capitulating. It was a bit depressing thinking what could have been vs. what we got in Pastner. I like Geoff but I'll never forget or forgive that one.

At one time, Scott Drew gave Nolan Dennis and other recruits copies of The Commercial Appeal. Except that it wasn't a normal copy. It was a montage exclusively comprised of articles on our players getting arrested, suspended, and crime in Memphis.

The phony is Calkins. After having a slimy Calipari as coach, he questioned Drew's recruiting - and to ask Barnes, a direct competing slime bag, hilarious. And BTW, didn't hear any of that criticism last night.

Calkins wasn’t a fan of Cal, either.

Didn't Caulkins champion Porters hire in a big way?

That's ironic considering Baylor had an actual murder in its basketball program.

Yeah. Two of Calkins shining moments led us to Pastner and Porter. Wonder why he's never been asked to serve on an actual coach hiring committee?

18 years is nothing for a NC.
He is 1 of only 10 active coaches to have a ring.
Only 2 of the 10 have more than 1 NC (K and Wright).
Average years per ring is 19.
Longest time served for 1 ring is 44 (Boeheim).
We've seen his dirty laundry. For some reason, we don't get to see other coach's. He's a heckuva coach.
