This wouldn’t work as Georgia Southern and App State are tight knit.

How does this improve

1) Revenues, especially TV
2) Image of schools and conference
3) Power ranking of schools in Football, access to NY6 more often
4) Power ranking of schools in Men's Basketball, access to at-large bids
5) improve recruiting for schools

Since it does none of those things, why bother?

If there will be and merger (there won’t be) it will be the best over all where half a** travel partners are allowed, and every school actually has full athletics ,not by region and I’ll fall something like this if I had to guess

Fans of CUSA and Sun Belt would do well to just realize they are never going to be able to compete for championships or major bowls. In any system, some teams will be pin cushions and others will be the pins. These two are going to be the pin cushions. Arrange schedules to include payday games with the P5, and hope that in any given year you will win enough conference games to qualify for a bowl. Realignment strategies for you are just pipe dreams, so align with whatever schools you are comfortable with.

Congrats Ewglenn (edited to get the name right), you've successfully made the one thread about CUSA/SBC that ALL of us dislike. That takes true effort, to be honest. I hope you share your secret with us someday.

From an ODU perspective, we like basketball, so this is a big no. Along with all the other reasons others have stated...
