Again, UH is a top volleyball team this year. Surprised they let Baylor off the ropes after winning the first two sets at home.

Tomorrow is our chance to make a statement. Too bad we don't have a home crowd to give the team energy. I just hope we don't come out flat as we've done the past 3 Saturdays....and, against a Top 10 squad as Baylor, we can ill-afford a high frequency of service errors. It's going to be interesting to see how we choose to play Pressley, who had 19 kills tonight, but was far from dominant. Baylor did have an impressive 18 blocks, however.

Going to need Bichelmeyer to pick it up if we want to finish this.

Very inefficient so far. Courtley is struggling badly, while Baylor is clearly keying on both Nicole and Anota, minimizing their opportunities.

Getting blown out in the second set.

Our hitting percentage for the match so far is .080. It's amazing we're even in sets.

RE: Rice Volleyball vs Baylor
Brickelmeyer (-.125) and Courtley (-.185) simply have got to pick it up or it's going to a rout from here on out. They're giving Nicole and Anota absolutely nothing.

Almost all our points in the second set are on Baylor errors. We have no offense whatsoever.

Baylor takes second set 25-16, and it wasn't even that close. Nicole has just 5 kills in 2 sets; Anota just 3. They're just not getting opportunities. Genny needs to make some signficant adjustments.

We're staying in this one (so far) on Baylor service and attack errors. They already have 11 service errors (vs. 4 aces).

Rice leads third set 13-12.

Rice takes third set 25-18 and 2-1 lead! 02-13-banana Baylor up to 14 service errors.

Nicole heated up just a bit, but still not getting many opportunities-- up to 9 kills. Anota still stiffled.

Kostelecky having a big match: 6 kills, no errors, 5 blocks

Bickelmeyer and Courtley still struggling with negative efficiency.

Courtley (-.222) and Bickelmeyer are killing us tonight. Thankfully, Maruska (8 kills) and Kostelecky (7 kills) have picked up some of the slack. Nicole has only 3 attack error, but not getting the opportunity; they're smothering her. Even moreso Anota.

16-18
