How Did North Texas Get to Host the NIT?
The NIT is oldest tournament in college basketball, and it has always been played at participating universities and Madison Square Garden. So, how did UNT (an NCAA Tournament team) get all of this year's NIT games played in north Texas? Here is the story...

what I do not get about the NIT is the schedule. 1st rd games from 17-20(Wed-Sat). OK makes sense. But 2nd rd QF games not until Thursday next week and then SF and F on Sat/Sun- right up against the sweet 16. Guessing maybe the women's tourney?
