RE: NCAA Tourney Memory
A good reminder that today is the anniversary of our win over Virginia in the 1982 tournament, propelling us to the Elite Eight.

Still the loudest and most intense basketball game I have ever been a part of, and the biggest crowd ever at the BJCC--unless the Louisville game two days later had a bigger crowd. I know, we technically had a higher announced attendance in the DePaul game a couple of seasons before, but the NCAA only allowed us to count tickets sold for the attendance in tournament games, and the coliseum was at full capacity at 16,754. When you include media, bands, ushers, etc., there were well over 17K at that game.

Me too. We ought to be able to find one somewhere. I might try to see if Murry has a copy.

I would even like to watch the Louisville game again . That was an equally great battle, back and forth the whole game, until we had a couple of bad breaks and bad calls go against us with a couple of minutes left and they pulled away. I think we lost by 6 or 7 if I remember right.

Found a source. They will be VHS; any good options for getting them transferred to digital? I think I will have access to the games from ‘81 and ‘82; Virginia for sure, and likely also Louisville, Kentucky, Indiana (x 2) and maybe even WKU. I will let you know JBall.
