ACU definitely picked up some pointers from their win against Tarleton. Same offense, same scrappy contest EVERYTHING defense.

They are playing well from what I have seen so far. It is a shame though that any money they get from this run is going to a conference that they won't be a part of.

Next year is going to be fun... especially is the arenas are filled with fans again. I'm liking the new WAC.

Indeed. Finally, thanks to: https://youtu.be/0dWlcaLGlP0 the WAC will again be a formidable basketball AND football league!

Congrats to ACU for one of the biggest wins, if not the biggest, ever. And good showing by GCU, they did their best against Iowa but they were a difficult opponent for anyone to go up against.

I guess you can live through ACU's success since Tarleton will never make the NCAA Tournament lol

Lol. Anyone in the southland would have beat Texas tonight I think. They had, what, 40 some points and 30 some turnovers?

Tarleton will probably make the tournament at some point, you know, the same year they win a natty in FBS football.

RE: Grand Canyon v Iowa
He is just taking his shots at NMSU while we are down. We have a great coach, a long lived winning tradition, a grand old but beautiful arena (the largest most intimidating in the WAC), and a strong proud fan base. We'll be back up soon enough. Then he'll have nothing to crow about as NMSU lines them up then knocks them down one by one. This was an abnormal year. Duke will return to its normal strength, Kentucky will return to is normal strength and NMSU will rise again as well. I will give ACU its just due; they have a very good team and a good coach. But the one difference between NMSU's success and the success of some of the others in the WAC (or soon to be) is that NMSU has won WAC Tournament Championships with multiple head coaches... Reggie Theus (1), Marvin Menzies (5), Paul Weir (1), and now Chris Jans (2). NMSU is a resilient program that has withstood the test of time. NMSU has a good head coach as a result of its prior success not the other way around like at some schools; where its about the current coach and nothing else. They lose the coach, they drop like a rock.

It's crazy to think the two players that lead Oregon over Iowa today were suppose to play for NMSU before Paul Weir decided to be stupid and leave for UNM.
