ECU is #5 and UNCW is #39 so I guess that helps. I do hope we can get things back on track though. The UNCW series was very disappointing.

It's just the algorithm, season is still young and water will find its level in terms of the RPI. We aren't playing bad teams, it just the teams we play have loaded schedules with bad teams so far which distorts their RPI.

Actually, no ... it is that the teams Coastal Carolina has played are not winning. This is killing Coastal's OWP which is 2/3 of the SOS component. Coastal's OWP is a paltry .411. Coastal's OWP is considerably lower than their OOWP ... which is Coastal's opponents' OWP.

While Coastal has an OWP hole to climb out of, it certainly is still too early for RPI to produce anything meaningful ... and it will be exacerbated this year due to less inter-conference play (less inter-connectivity).

ULM beats #9/#14 Oklahoma St. tonight at Globe Life Park 13-6. Hopefully move up in RPI with that win.

Louisiana beats #15 TCU 7-2. It’s amazing what you can do when you don’t kick the ball around. With that said the SBC is looking like a two bid league at best.
