Rice golf
We haven't mentioned much on golf this year, and for good reason, they haven't had a good season at all. We do have a really good freshman from Spain - Rodrigo Martin Miranda and he shot an impressive -6 in the first round of the Louisiana Classic today. He's been up and down his freshman year, but lately seems to be on a roll.

A couple other guys have played well at times, but the big problem this year is senior Jake Benson is in a bad slump. Benson has easily been Rice's best golfer the past two years, earning 1st-team all-conference and averaging 72 strokes per round (very good for college golf). But he's averaging over 78 strokes a round this year.

We shot 5 over as a team today which puts us in the middle of the pack. Hopefully Benson can figure out what's wrong with his swing and get back to where he was the past two seasons.
