RE: CSN bracket group- who will be the best of all of us?
How great of an NCAA Tournament am I having? I picked three 12 seeds to win in the first round and if you know me you can guess the #12 seed I didn't have winning.
Next year I'm going to let my secretary pick for me.

My bracket, like my recent attempt to woo a lovely lass with my interest in urban placemaking themes, has been a disaster.

RE: CSN bracket group- who will be the best of all of us?
After the Friday upsets, I thought my bracket was in a total shambles.
Then today and ..... I picked Virginia to make it all the way to the Final Four. So now it's like someone dropped a neutron bomb on the wreckage of Friday's bracket.
Oh well, at least I was smart enough not to bet my picks, LOL.

Had Texas and Ohio State.
Why couldn't I have participated in 2018? I would've won. The Pathetic 12 didn't even win a single game in the tournament! And the sad thing is they had a legitimate team win their conference tournament that year.

RE: CSN bracket group- who will be the best of all of us?
I just went in this forum, so I can't join the group. I have 230, but my potential of 1,630 is better than everyone in the group. I was going to pick Gonzaga to win and pick every 1 seed to reach the Final Four, but I decided I needed to do something to make my bracket stand out, so I picked Houston to beat Illinois in a Regional Final, so I'm happy that Illinois lost earlier. 29 percent of the people in my pool and 26 percent of people on ESPN have their champion eliminated. If the best remaining seed wins each region, I have a good chance at winning money. A majority of people have at least one Final Four team eliminated, but I don't. Illinois, Baylor, and Michigan are the only teams in my pool that somebody picked to be champion that are still alive.
Two years ago I won money for the third time in my life. I knew that as long as Virginia won, I would have a great bracket, and I was 96.5th percentile on ESPN. My last seven ESPN percentiles were 53.6th or higher, with four at 79.6th or higher, and a mean of 74.6th. Even in 2018 when I picked Virginia to be champion and they lost to UMBC, I was 79.6th percentile.

You should copy and paste the link to your bracket. Then if people are so inclined, they can follow yours in addition to the group.

Thought I was getting killed in my bracket...I'm in 3rd place somehow despite sucking so bad at picking.

I suck, but I'm tied for 11th and only 8 people have potentially higher max scores.

I'm at 350 right now, tied for 11th, but my "max" is only 710, the lowest of everyone, so I will probably finish last, LOL.

I'm in last place of the group of my 30-plus co-workers (most of whom know nothing about college hoops) with the bracket picks.
I don't know whether to feel gravely embarrassed or oddly amused.

Just another thing to show that if you bet money on sports, remember it's just for fun and not for profit. Having knowledge about the sport doesn't really help someone who becomes a compulsive gambler. Pete Rose knows more about baseball than any other regular gambler anywhere, and he lost millions betting on baseball games.

What a crazy tournament. Only got 20 right in the first round, and did worse (9/16) in the second round. Somehow I’m still in the 80th percentile of brackets.

Good point. I don't gamble — and particularly would not on college hoops. I would be the Pete Rose of Nashville if I did.
