247 Transfer Portal
The 247 transfer portal tool is a great way to look back on how good/bad old coaches were at recruiting talent. It definitely points to just how bad Charlie Strong sucked at his job at USF.

He came in and inherited a talented team from Willie Taggart (say what you will about Taggart, but he does a great job of finding underrecruited guys like Marlon Mack, Quinton Flowers, D'Ernest Johnson, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, etc.) and didn't lift a finger to build off of that.

Here's the 247 page for USF:

You can see that 16 guys recruited by Strong hit the portal. One (Jordan McCloud) transferred to Arizona (and good luck to him, but I'll be stunned if he's able to be a competent QB in Tucson), one landed at FAU and one landed at Nevada. That's 13/16 of his recruits who can't even find another school to take them.
