You mean Holcomb? He's a solid Sunday or midweek starter. Nothing more.

8 hits, 6 BBs, 1 HBP, 3 errors, 2 WPs and 2 SBs through 5 innings, but only 3 runs.

That's incredibly hard to do. 11 runners left on base in just 5 innings.

And just like that we knock in another run from second.

Yes I stand corrected. I like Holcomb’s pitching tonight. He has stayed ahead of most of their batters. Not a lot of sold contact against him either.

Holcomb back out to pitch the 7th with a 4 run lead.

Might be time to get someone loosening in the bull pen.

He starts the first batter with three balls but battles back to get him on a fly to right. Takes the second batter to 3-2 before enduring a easy grounder to ss Finishes the inning with a grounder to third.

Great that Holcomb was able to go 7... Important to preserve pitching for tomorrow’s game.

That's nuts. He was showing signs of tiring last inning. Take him out on a high note. We have plenty of other pitchers who deserve some work. Awful coaching.

Any team and batter of any quality would have been taking all the way there. Down by 4 runs in the 8th inning, you need baserunners. What the hell is he swinging ahead in the count when Holcomb was suddenly struggling throwing strikes?

They lucked out with the DP, but now he's given up two quick hits. He has nothing left. Holcomb deserves better.

He comes back to throw strikes until the batter golfs a single. Runners at first and second. Bragga finally goes and gets him. Cienfuegos on to get the last out.
