byu gave them a good game the other night. I don't think they will win it all. They played a few good teams early but not really battle tested.

Yeah, Gonzaga only beat Kansas by 12, then beat Iowa, WV, and scraped by Virginia, 98-75. Haven't really played anyone...

Those games were earlier in the season like I said. Have they played enough tough team lately? Not really. Will they be sharp when the time comes? We'll see.

Not arguing with your chronology, rather I'm suggesting that your categorization of Gonzaga's opponents as "a few good teams" is a little off. As for "battle tested" maybe take a look at some of the final score margins - I don't think they have any problem finishing strong.

But this year, who knows?

Huh?

Who knew.

We could have beaten Gonzaga Saturday or last night. They crumbled, were actually lucky to beat an 11 seed play in team to get to the championship.

Interesting. I had the same thought. Baylor's first half defense reminded me of, well, ours.

At least I didn't bet on the game. After seeing Baylor, I think if they played 10 times Baylor would beat them at least 9.

The OP was fun.

Gonzaga had trouble bouncing back from the super exciting, exhausting game 2 nights prior in Final4. It happens. Probably the biggest downside to having a normal human as your coach vs an intesnse basketball robot (ala Cal, Pitino, K, etc). They took time to enjoy each win and celebrated prior to regrouping and refocusing their efforts. No time for that this weekend. hard to keep your foot on the gas.....Baylor did.

Let's be honest, though. Baylor didn't really have to take it out of neutral for most of the Houston game. They coasted after the first mile or so.

Sort of like they did last night.

They made a couple of runs at Baylor and at times Baylor was running on fumes, but the TV timeouts helped Baylor get a second wind.

The Zags were beat in the first half, too deep of a hole to overcome. Baylor stopped the zags guard from making those curl moves to the bucket.
