I am very interested to see how he plays on Friday. Do you bring him off the bench?

RE: DeJulius
I kind of liked how the team looked with a fresh MAW running point.

Then again that was against ECU, which might have helped shine him up some...

RE: DeJulius
We need the depth but I personally liked MAW at the 1.

He gets bumped yet again from what he thought he was playing when he came here...kind of thing that makes a kid think about the portal in this day and age.

If DDJ starts at PG after being away for this long...dunno. Would feel odd.

I would start MAW and use DDJ as the backup pg and at the 2.

With Saunders hobbled all bodies welcome. Plus i think Smu is short handed as well so maybe we can continue to push the pace.

He’s a good player. Let him play 2 guard.

I’m starting to fear you want to send me dick pix. Creepy fascination with me.

Just had my 25th anniversary...happily married. Sorry, chum.

Those numbers are really impressive and I'm glad he's back. Anyone who has rolled an ankle knows that recovery--even for a 20 year old, takes some time. Saunders game is so much about speed and quickness that depending upon him today, even as the PG off the bench, was worrisome. UC will need all the guards healthy to have a chance to win today and even more so to continue playing on consecutive days.

Oh, and I'll add, I really like our chances today.

It’ll be curious to see which SMU players are not available today

Yep, was wondering that too. Are they under any obligation to announce that before tipoff today?

Chad on the Bearcat Journal podcast indicated he thought it would be Tyson Jolly, Yor Anei and Jamar Young. Jolly didn't play against UC the first game but is a talented wing - averages a little over 8 a game and was much better last year. Anei is their only shot blocker and Jamar Young is a deep bench player.

Thanks--interesting. So if DeJulius and Saunders are ready to play might this suggest UC will want to speed up the game some? Push the ball up the floor to wear down SMU's starters and short bench? Especially since the Mustangs haven't had game action in a long time. Force them to chase and foul our speedsters.

Maybe. Or play the longer game. One or two wins do not matter, only a championship. Maybe do all that is possible to save energy for Sunday. Always a trick because you first have to win to earn the right to play in the next game.
