The most effective way the various levels of government could actually come close to guaranteeing everyone a job is to seriously cut regulations and taxes.

Businesses would thrive and more people would be employed increasing the tax base.

Yep, and they can start on our roads first. For a city without much rain we still have potholes that need covering. At least make those illegals without much education to do the work. I'm sure that they'd be appreciative and most would be hard workers. Do this as a, shall we say, probationary basis. They're gonna be here to stay no doubts about it at least give them work and make them pay taxes. Most illegals start off that way and rise above that type of work. We see it here in EP all the time, that's why we have so many fat people, because restaurants are their thing and we love to eat.

Even I was given the opportunity to work by the government. When the Viet Nam was de-escalating there were many GIs out of work and Nixon instituted a Vet work program and that's how I started. I stayed on for 30 years, two others with me went elsewhere.

No. I'm already of the opinion that majority of the workforce (especially at publicly traded corporations) productivity is absolute trash.
