Sorry our men lost there first game to tournament champions, but women kept the interest. Also the hospitality room didn’t hurt.
Made my reservations today for next year’s tournament.
Tournament dates for next 4 years in Pensacola are:

2022 Championship Dates
March 4-7, 2022
2023 Championship Dates
March 3-6, 2023
2024 Championship Dates
March 8-11, 2024
2025 Championship Dates
March 7-10, 2025

I'm glad you had a good time. We planned on going but the men's struggles, the women's defections, and the Covid situation all led to us cancelling a few days before. I have always gone, no matter how bad our men's team was, so guess my wife's discomfort over how they have handled Covid in Florida was probably the deciding factor. We certainly plan on being there next year and hopefully there will be no restrictions on crowd size, where we can eat, and what sites we can visit.

You know there was an interesting article out yesterday about Florida and Covid. Apparently they had the same infection and death rates as California, which had the most stringent restrictions in the country.

Main read was that a person's chance of getting Covid were the exact same no matter where they lived and what the restrictions were. Unlike Florida, California's tight restrictions didn't stop Covid from spreading, it just moved the gatherings that caused it to spread underground, where contact tracing was nigh impossible.

Florida gets a bad rap because their governor is an idiot, but overall, your risk would have been the same had we held the tournament in Little Rock.

I think Pensacola is better than New Orleans. However, it’s too early to judge it compared to Hot Springs because of covid and it’s the first year. I’m probably biased but I still miss playing the tournament in Hot Springs. If only Summit Arena got an upgrade.
