Entire Staff of NV Dem Party Quit
The Nevada state Democratic Party held elections for leadership and Democratic Socialists of America candidates swept the board.

The Democratic Party in the state of Nevada is now held and run by DSA members.

I'd love to see a legit 3 or even 4 party system. Run a 3 stage election. Primary for each party. Election for those 4 candidates, then a runoff of the top 2.

Most people's views are way more complex than just left or right. We have to find a way to get some actual central views into politics.

How about:

Outlaw all political parties.

Shorten election campaigns to 4 weeks (we do have a thing called the Internet now).

Don't allow campaign contributions above $25 from any source.

Make all elected terms one cycle. No exceptions.

Don't allow any profits to be made during or after a politician's service if even slightly connected to his/her service.

RE: Entire Staff of NV Dem Party Quit
I like the 2party system. The 'third parties' tend to focus on just one area one of the 2 main parties supports, or are either more extreme Left or more extreme Right. The 2 Parties tend to gravitate to what the nation as a whole is thinking.

"Most people's views are more complex then Right or Left" -> that's why on paper the winner of elections should shift back & forth between the Democrat or Republican. That it tends not to tells me it's not that simple.

Harry Reed and the NV Democrats created a hell of a political machine in Nevada

Will be interesting what the Socialists do with it

I would extend that last one to include family members. If you are elected to office no one in your family can ever work for PACs, lobbying firms, corporations that donate $$$ to any person's campaign.

I am going to enjoy watching the struggle in the RNC between the RINOs so desperately trying to retain power and conservative populists trying to rid the party of the RINOs and take back control for the people.

This is a battle that has been a long time coming. Me personally, I've been waiting -- and hoping -- for 30 years.

They say moderates tend to win elections, especially national. The neocon's will stay in power on a national level unless the Dems run a truly bad candidate.

The Covid relief package that will be signed into law on Friday is enormously popular. Why would democrats hide from it?

The checks to the people are popular as is making tax free any student loan forgiveness

The rest I would venture most people could do without

Because we all know popular is the same as fiscally sound.

Anyone that believes that nonsense that this bill has 70% support is worse than an idiot.

Again, when you the main selling point of the bill is "free money" its going to get popular support. They could have put a bunch more crap in here and because of the "free money" it would get 70%

What's fiscally unsound about the bill?

What's fiscally unsound about the bill?

Is this bill already fully funded (i.e. paid for)?
