Today is day 11 so DoH says I am clear to leave quarantine. Appreciate all of the well wishes. I see how an older person with conditions that weaken their immune system could quickly take bad turn with this bug.

I'm so glad you're finally starting to get on the other side of it!

I'm pretty much sick of this at this point.

Both kids rocking fevers now, thankfully wife got her vaccine to keep this ship on course.

Get an oxygen meter just in case if the fever still hasn’t broken. Better to be safe than sorry. They’re cheap.

Yep, wife picked one up yesterday fine in that department. Haven't been below 98 the times I have checked it.

How old are your kids? They don't "typically" get this.

5 and 8. We have had a couple of friends in our circle's kids pick it up at school and they presented the same way. One day of fever and acting puny as we say and they were fine. Obviously we didn't take them to get tested, but they haven't been anywhere since last Saturday so I can't imagine it would have been anything else.

The scariest personal involvement we have had with covid was this fall when a kid on my son's soccer team got it over fall break (so we hadn't been exposed) - it gave him stomach bug symptoms, but then a week or two later when he was "over it," he had to be rushed to LeBonheur (children's hospital here) and was in their ICU for over a week.

He had developed the multi-system inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C) and they didn't know if his heart was going to recover. This is a kid who is in EXTREMELY good health - no prior health issues, athletic, etc. He was in the hospital for 2-3 weeks and just finally got back to normal level activity at the beginning of the year - he was very, very lucky.

none of your business what i do.

It is, the more that vaccinate the quicker we can stop the spread of this disease and the faster we can return to normalcy.

Wrong. It's your job to protect you. My life has been normal other than endless govt overreach bullshite. Fix the authoritarians.

Not only that, but we've already been told we can't return to "normal" anytime soon. Unless of course normal for some only goes so far as being allowed to cook some burgers and dogs in the backyard for you and the spouse and kids by July 4.

These freaks will never let this go, the power and control is too intoxicating.

Ya'll starting to figure this out yet?
