ODU weekend
NU lost a tough 3-game series at ODU over the weekend.

Friday, NU had a 4 run lead in the 8th inning before ODU rallied to tie the game at 8.

Then Brandon Dufault gave up a walk-off 2-run HR to lost 10-8.

Saturday, NU was once down 5-1 but chipped away, and then in the 9th down 5-4, with 2 outs and 2 strikes, Jared Dupere ripped a game-winning 2-run HR to give NU the 6-5 win.

Sunday, a pitcher's duel saw NU and ODU tied at 1 going into the 10th inning. Unbeknownst to me, college baseball is using the MLB extra-inning rule where a runner starts the inning on 2nd base.

In the 11th, NU took the 2-1 lead, but in the bottom of the inning, ODU scored 2 for the 3-2 walk-off win.

Here's Glavine on the series...
