The inconvenient truth here is that if Floyd had not ingested a deadly amount of fentanyl he likely would have never died, no matter how long they had him on the ground with a knee in him.

And the only reason he was on the ground with a knee on him in the first place is he refused to get in the car after they peacefully tired to get him in for several minutes. They tried and tried and tried to get him in the car and he cause the whole thing by resisting.

The initial edited clip really angered me, but like most people when I saw the full clip and had more detail of his OD, it changed my view.

^^^THIS^^^

Floyd was a dope head the militant SJW and "Civil" rights activists turned into a victim. Now that victim status is pressuring corporations to make unjustified business changes to overcompensate for this single act translating to SYSTEMATIC RACISM.

RE: Derek Chauvin Trial
Quote:One can only imagine what will happen to Minneapolis and other Democrat-run cities if Derek Chauvin, the police officer charged with murdering George Floyd, is found not guilty. We are now learning prospective jurors are legitimately concerned for their own safety.

Per the far-left Associated Press:

One was anxious, worried about high emotion surrounding the case. One worried his family might be targeted. And one was delighted to receive her jury summons — even after learning she might wind up on the panel considering whether to convict a former police officer in George Floyd’s death.

The person who worried about the divisiveness of the case was dismissed, as was the potential juror who feared his family could be targeted.

These jurors have every right to be concerned. Look at what happened after the death of George Floyd…

Everyone in the country was horrified by the video of Floyd’s suffocation. Everyone, including former President Trump, spoke out against it. It was a moment when we could have all come together as a country. But unity, especially in an election year, was something Democrats and the fake media were desperate to avoid. Instead, they deployed their shock troops.

Yep, even though the entire country was disgusted by that video, the Democrats and media still deployed the domestic terrorist groups Black Lives Matter and Antifa to swarm through dozens of Democrat-run cities.

Worse still, most of the Democrats who run those cities allowed these terrorists to swarm and destroy their cities, and the result was the worst rioting in our country’s history: billions of dollars in damages, nearly 20 people dead, countless small businesses looted and destroyed, multiple acts of arson, and countless assaults.

There is just no question, if Chauvin is acquitted, anyone who lives in a Democrat-run city will be in mortal danger — and with the help of the Democrat party and media, the offending jurors will surely be hunted for the rest of their lives.

If you think about it, the Democrat party has returned America to the Jim Crow days of racial segregation. Back in those terrible days, Democrats used terror, violence, and threats to manipulate the justice system against black people in the south. Today, that very same Democrat party uses terror, violence, and threats to manipulate the justice system against anyone it so chooses.

It’s the exact same M.O.; it’s all racially motivated, and it’s all meant to pervert and terrorize the justice system into behaving the way Democrats demand it behave.

While I have zero love for Chauvin and would myself be booted from jury duty because I just can’t see myself voting for anything other than a conviction, I am still troubled when I see the legal system perverted in this way. And the problem is not just the obvious intimidation from the Brownshirts in Antifa and Black Lives Matter.

A third-degree murder charge has just been reinstated against Chauvin, which means he is now charged with third-degree murder, second-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter. In its zeal to win a conviction, the district attorney, with the help of the judge, is basically playing a game of pin-the-crime-on-the-defendant by giving the jury all kinds of choices….

Keep in mind, I’m saying the following as someone who believes Chauvin should be convicted: multiple choice crimes is not how the justice system is supposed to work. The job of the state is to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, and if the state doesn’t even know of which crime Chauvin is guilty, how can it prove anything?

A guilty man might very well go to prison, but when the government frames a guilty man to put him in prison, we all suffer because the perversion of the justice system harms everyone.

RE: Derek Chauvin Trial
Quote:The Nation published an article Thursday blasting the “deeply flawed” jury selection process for the trial of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer accused of killing George Floyd, asserting the jury system “set up by white people” allows “white people [to] go free when they kill black people.”

The piece, penned by Nation justice correspondent Elie Mystal and titled “The Acquittal of Derek Chauvin Has Already Begun,” carries a sub-headline which claims the jury selection process “shows how the cop who killed George Floyd can, and likely will, win.” The article begins by stating Chauvin need not be referred to as having “allegedly” killed George Floyd, because the author “saw it.”

Mystal (pictured) laments that a jury, “comprised mainly of white people,” will decide whether “killing a black man should be a crime,” and then proclaims a trial should not even be necessary.

“In a reasonable world, this trial would be perfunctory,” he writes. “Hell, in a reasonable world, there wouldn’t even be a trial: Chauvin would have accepted some kind of plea deal.”

Mystal openly states white cops, for the most part, can easily get away with murdering black people.

“But we don’t live in a reasonable world—we live in a white one,” he writes. “Chauvin is white, and he’s a cop. And his victim was black. In most situations, that’s all you need to get away with murder.”

Prejudging the case as a matter of clear-cut racism leading to Floyd’s death, Mystal claims any potential arguments in Chauvin’s defense by his attorneys are “ludicrous.”

“Floyd is dead because he was black, and Chauvin figured it was okay to choke a black person to death,” he writes.

Mystal then claims, due to his belief black people and white people should be treated the same, he would not be permitted by the “white”-run system to be part of the jury.

“He will not be judged by me or anybody like me,” Mystal writes. “I’m not ‘impartial’ about whether black people should be treated with the same basic human dignity as white people. According to the white people who run this system, that makes me too ‘biased’ to sit on Chauvin’s jury.”

Declaring the jury system “set up by white people” must fail in order to allow for justice, Mystal claims its primary functions include letting “white people go free when they kill black people.”

Mystal continues by stereotyping whites and arguing they are unable to provide a just decision.

“Chauvin will be tried in front of a jury composed predominately of white people who haven’t yet made up their minds on the whole violent police brutality question,” he writes. “You know the people I’m talking about: the ‘maybe all lives should matter?’ folks.”

Claiming jury selection is “deeply flawed” and only the “least-informed” and uneducated will serve as the jury, Mystal states “the system” will label its unjust verdict as just.

“The system will trot out 12 of the least-informed people it can find, people who didn’t even bother to fully educate themselves on why there was a massive uprising of black people throughout the country all summer,” he writes. “And then that system will call their judgment ‘justice.’”

Mystal further asserts the very jury questionnaire is geared to covertly “weed out anybody black.”

Only if you “buy” into the “false equivalency between Black Lives Matter and the racist counter-trope, Blue Lives Matter,” would you likely be accepted, he writes.

“The defense is getting exactly the kind of white people it wants,” he adds.

Referring to one of the men reported to have been selected to serve on the jury, Mystal blasts him for being described as one who thinks “analytically” and works to “find facts,” yet had not viewed the clip of Floyd’s death.

“Here’s a guy who thinks he likes facts but couldn’t be bothered to learn the facts behind why black people all across this country were risking Covid-19 exposure and police brutality to protest all last summer,” Mystal writes.

Mystal notes how videos of the deaths of Terence Crutcher in 2016 and Eric Garner in 2014 at the hands of police officers, as well as the beating of Rodney King in 1991, were not helpful in charging officers.

“It only takes one white person who thinks the cops should be allowed to hunt and murder black people to hang a jury,” he writes.

In a tweet promoting his essay, Mystal writes “it’s pretty clear how the white justice system is trying to get [Chauvin] off.”

“The jury system works FOR white people, not for justice,” he adds.

Now that we're into jury selection for the Derek Chauvin trial, it's pretty clear how the white justice system is trying to get him off. It might work. The jury system works FOR white people, not for justice.

On Wednesday, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson questioned if Chauvin could have a fair trial given how the incident had played out in the media and nationally.

Another concern is prospective jurors are legitimately concerned for their own safety.

“One can only imagine what will happen to Minneapolis and other Democrat-run cities if Derek Chauvin, the police officer charged with murdering George Floyd, is found not guilty,” wrote Breitbart’s John Nolte.

Quote:The unfortunate death and now the chaotic trial of George Floyd is being exploited by what the leftist media and their allies, calls “Rights Activists” as a way of blazing a path to transformative changes in our public policy where they can not get public support or garner a strong enough voting base to get what they want; which is mostly control over politics, financial and cultural institutions.
“Derek Chauvin may not receive a fair trial,” Tucker Carlson said Wednesday about the police officer who faces numerous charges for the death of Floyd.

Consider the following footage as what could be proof of Carlson’s claims:

“Quite a few NFGL people here,” the narrator is heard saying. “The National Lawyers Guild. You have people out here dancing, ” he said, as a large group of people march through the streets drumming, chanting, and yelling.

The group, dressed in black bloc, yells in unison, “F^%$ the Police” over and over. Raising their fists in signs of “solidarity with violence” the group screams, “If we don’t get it, shut it down”.

the mob is clearly working to intimidate the community; the exact community where jurors are being selected in what is sure to be the trial of a generation, due to its highly politicized content.

The fact that National Lawyers Guild members were identified, should be concerning to Americans who how due process rights.

WHO ARE THE NATIONAL LAWYERS GUILD?

“The National Lawyers Guild is dedicated to the need for basic and progressive change in the structure of our political and economic system. Through its members – lawyers, law students, jailhouse lawyers and legal workers united in chapters and committees – the Guild works locally, nationally and internationally as an effective political and social force in the service of the people. The UNC Law NLG supports efforts towards social justice and leftist change within the law school and around the community. Through the NLG, students serve as legal observers at demonstrations around the state, attend the national NLG conference and work with attorneys..,” according to their North Carolina chapter.

WHAT ARE THEY DOING?

They are “dedicated to the progressive change of our political and economic system”, which is interesting work for people who live in a Republic where representatives are elected by the people to represent their needs and concerns in debates, and legal methods to make these changes.

GONE ARE OUR CIVIL RIGHTS

When mobs use tactics of harassment and intimidation to pressure people to do what they want, that is called “Democracy”.

In embracing Democracy as the transformation of our Republic, we accept that our individual power is gone.

THE TRUTH

The controversial death of Floyd triggered a highly organized and well-orchestrated Democrat political movement to defund local police departments and ignited violent riots across the country.

Such hysterical propaganda has been created around the case that people do not feel safe thinking about the case in any other ways than how the left and their many media groups demand.

The National Lawyers Guild is dedicated to punishing the Police according to their own account.

THIS IS WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND WHY THEY ARE USING THIS TRIAL FOR PROPAGANDA

“Challenging a multi-billion dollar industry and centuries of social conditioning, abolitionists work to debunk the propaganda that equates policing with safety. In reality, police are fundamentally dangerous; they were created and are maintained to protect racial capitalism. In order to achieve their foundational purpose, police destroy lives and communities—in particular, those of Black and Indigenous people.

The wealthy elite sustain their ability to profit off of everyone else because they have a mechanism to keep exploited people under control: policing. In order to manufacture our consent to this set-up, beneficiaries of this system instruct everyone who is concerned about police brutality to see law enforcement as a less than ideal, but still necessary feature of society.”

This is what a mess we are in for allowing these leftist non profits to run our government and make changes in public policy without the consent of the governed.

They got $7million more than the Australian lady's family who was shot by a cop in his car that reported a domestic issue behind her apartment.

I would be hot if I were one of his defense attorneys. It might also be short sighted by the government. If you’re confident that the evidence will prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that he’s guilty of something (even if it’s a lesser included charge), why allow potential hiccups.

I'm guessing its because they know the evidence doesnt support a guilty verdict, so they threw this hail mary in an attempt to persuade jurors that the city is admitting guilt, so you should find him guilty because the city is finding him guilty.

Actually, I would prefer her as a juror because she's on record saying that all lives do in fact matter and that she's not prejudiced by supporting the Marxist organization that's pushing guilty-until-proven-innocent. She's open-minded enough to look at the evidence as presented and make an unbiased decision.

You have unlimited for cause, but the judge has to agree. Beyond that you have a limited number of peremptory strikes with no requirement to give a reason.
