So according to Bracketville guy- looks like St John's might be the better bet to win on Thursday and make the tournament over Seton Hall.

St. John's seems to be a very solid team. Will be interesting to monitor.

Creighton 5 vs W Kentucky, Purdue Region 2
Xavier 12 FF vs Colorado St, Tennessee, Virginia Region 3
Villanova 4 vs UNC Greensboro, Texas Tech Region 4

Brutal all 4 teams seeing a 1 seed by the sweet 16. Would be really lucky to get a team to the sweet 16 just looking at the matchups(and the Nova injuries now)

If (and that's a big "if") this seeding holds true, and assuming Nova is without two starters (and not just one) ... it could be a quick exit for the BE in the tourney.

On a positive note, GM being back will help Creighton.

I think Xavier is in a must win now tonight. They lose I think they are done.

I just checked the XU schedule. Since missing two postponed games in early February (both to have been against DePaul) due to the virus, Xavier is 2-6, with one of those wins against lowly Butler. True, XU did beat Creighton for the other victory. That's a resume-building victory. Still, 2-6 the last eight games. That is not a recipe for an NCAA invite. I'm a Cincinnati fan but I always try to be fair, complimentary and respectful of Xavier. Having said that, I strongly question whether XU deserves a tourney bid.

That's a Q3 loss. X is toast. Wins over OU and CU are nice but their overall resume isn't. Below .500 in a down year during BE play, and as Bill noted 2-6 in their last 8. No chance they make it at this point.

Hope SH or SJ make a run to the BET final or we may be a 3 bid league this year
