In the coaches pre-season poll, the coaches picked Bellarmine to finish 7th out of 7 teams. Here was the order:

The conference plays many sports in divisions to cut down on travel. Soccer is played in North and South divisions.

I am beginning to think that the conference coaches may have underrated Bellarmine in several sports. I guess that it is hard for schools to accurately rate teams coming from a different division that they may have never seen and that they may not have close coaching contacts for scouting purposes.

Anyway, it certainly is a good start for Bellarmine and gives us hope for a conference championship at least.

Yeah, a good win for Tim Chastonay and his guys. I saw the game, BU looked equal to Liberty. Great header in sudden death overtime by the young man from Chile (Ballas). I try to get over to the campus to see a game or two every year. Since I have two sons that played for BU, I can usually get one of them or a grandson to go watch a game with me.

Nice win over Dayton too (Flyers™ apparently were pre-season picked second in the A-10™).
