RE: ACU clips the longhorns!!
So far UCLA is doing what I think some of the teams in the WAC could do the ACU. Almost every team is the WAC is point guard strong. If ACU can't create turnovers to generate quick offense, they're fight an up hill battle in the half-court both offensively and defensively. UCLA's Tyger Campbell is a one man press breaker bring the ball up the court. So its pointless to trap him. This allows Tyger's bigger teammates to space out to stretch ACU's defense, leaving gaps to run UCLA offense with out the ball, and get isolations in one-on-one opportunities. We will see if ACU can make adjustments.

I am sure the ACU coach is better than I ever would have been but I think he may have made a mistake in not playing Kohl more than he did. Kohl was the one player he had that UCLA did not have someone to directly match up with.

ORU almost made it to the elite eight but came up just short. Arkansas scored with 2.9 seconds left to take a two point lead. ORU called the immediate time out but basically wasted their last time out. I know per NCAA rules you can't advance the ball at the end of the game by calling time out like you can in the NBA, but why wouldn't you attempt to get the ball close to half court with your in bound pass and immediately take your final time out to set up maybe a better play. Just my opinion which I know isn't worth much. When it comes to the NCAA tourney I root fall all non power conference teams.

ORU had an excellent attempt at the buzzer. It appeared to me that they made the right decision calling an immediate TO.

I too root for the little guys. It’s been so nice not having Duke, Kentucky and the other usual suspects around.
