I believe that UNA can still be invited to the CBI, if in fact the CBI is still taking place this season, since it’s independent of the NCAA (the CIT has already cancelled this year’s event). Grand Canyon played in those C-level tournaments in their transition phase, and I’m sure Merrimack would have last season.

But otherwise the only thing on the line is Liberty not taking a seed deduction by losing.

yeah Liberty has a shot to get up to the 12 line if things go their way in the other conference tournaments. But would probably fall to a 14 if they lose here.

Our women’s team went to the WBI, the women’s version of the CBI, in our first year of transition in 2018-2019. So I assume the rules would be the same for the men.

However, even the CBI’s own website hasn’t been updated for 2021. I can’t find anything that really confirms it’s taking place, outside a Wikipedia entry, which obviously isn’t reliable.
