The fact that this is a 4 point game when we're 4-21 from 3 with 15 TOs is actually somewhat impressive? Or at least further affirmation that if we play consistently well in the conference tournament I don't think there's a team that beats us. But the consistency thing is the issue.

Schwartz with a couple more turnovers converted to points and we're again down by 8. 17 turnovers resulting in 25 points for UNT. That's the game right there.

Every single time with close, we commit multiple TOs to give the points right back to UNT. UNT with 11 steals. Just an awful performance.

Down 8 with 50 secs left. Looks like we will finish the regular season 16-3 (12-2). Gonna have to go and win the conference tournament now.

Weirdly bad defensive performance. Very rare to see a team shoot 44/53/87 against us.

That was going to be the case regardless. NO way we were going to get an at large birth with our RPI, no quality wins, and one bad loss (Marshall).

What concerns me the most is that Marshall, LaTech and UNT have given everybody the blue print for beating us-- press like hell and for as long as possible. Teams are not giving us a free pass to half court, which we give to everybody. It's just inexplicable to me how, with two upperclass ball handlers, and a full season to improve, we're still one of the worst turnover teams in all of D1 basketball. Dead last, and by a wide margin, in CUSA. We've improved our boxing out, cutting down on the offensive boards against us, but we have made absolutely no progress in cutting down the turnovers....and teams are now consistently exploiting us as a result.

Two unbelievable turnovers while standing there dribbling and just losing control of the dribble with no defensive pressure sums up today’s performance. Just bury the game hotes and video and get ready for aFrisco.

Women will play next on Thursday morning (11 am) against the winner of the FAU/USM game. They are matched with Charlotte (and UNT) in their side of the bracket. MTSU and UTEP are the top seeds on the other side of the bracket.

This CUSA website has both the women's and men's brackets:

https://conferenceusa.com/sports/2021/2/...Champ.aspx

UNT women play on Wednesday the winner of Tuesday's ODU v WKU game. And Charlotte plays the winner of UNT's game on Court B beginning at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

Rice could potentially play all games vs teams they haven't seen this season.
