It’s a simple as that. If Liberty joins the conference, you won’t be forced to enroll in any their classes or be pressured into their beliefs.
Just like Liberty wouldn’t have to adopt the left mentality that is currently a cancer to public schools and most universities.
In regards to sports (which is only thing I care about regarding college SPORTS), Liberty would simply be another competitive jersey on the court/field. Though with the roll they are on they would add lots of value and not just be another member.

They’d also bring LFSN which is a full blown sports network. That would instantly increase the quality of product that CUSA has for tv contracts. Honestly they’d probably do it for little to no money for away games too. Liberty isn’t struggling for money. They are just trying to get their brand out and I’m sure they’d jump at the opportunity to get more of their product out.

Thanks for the info. I wasn’t aware that they had their own network. That’s awesome. Our media could use all the help it can get. The CUSA tv contract is worthless. A blind homeless man could have negotiated a better deal.

the last time CUSA expanded was in 2014. Liberty was not good in basketball at the time and played FCS football.

Liberty would harm academics and if you think one flash in the pan year makes them juggernauts, you’re high as a kite. Their basketball is t worth it either.

Factually speaking. You could not be anymore wrong.

The West was (60-51) and the East (46-55) this year.

Football, yea. Basketball, no chance. Also, it’s an online college. No political or religious bias from me, just how most people view it in VA. It’s university of Phoenix.

I mean LU would have at least been in the hunt for BB. They do have wins over South Carolina and Mississippi State this year. I know those aren’t great teams this year but how many teams in CUSA have multiple wins this year over P5 schools? The only school I think I’d favor to beat them is WKU.

They also have losses to Lipscomb and Stetson. I think 5 or 6 C-USA teams beat them

Original poster is mistaken-- on BOTH counts. Also we do not need a fifteenth school.

I mean playing teams like that constantly it’s bound to happen. Didn’t FAU lose to Stetson?
