Whatcha thinking this October?
So we open neutral field w/ JSU, @UGA, @Tulane, and @North Texas. What’s our record when it’s time to fire up Protective?

Good lord, if we come in 4-0 can you imagine how lit that crowd would be?

3-1 I just don’t see us beating Georgia.

I can’t call that a possible win either. If it’s tight in the 4th so it’s “upset watch” I’ll call that a win. And I just think we’ll drop one of Tulane or UNT. Even though Tulane is an AAC squad, I’d rather drop that game than take an L in conf.
I think Jax State game plan will be so vanilla we might have to take a nap at halftime. Whatever changes we have made/will make we won’t see in that game.
Maybe not UGA, either. Remember Clark has admitted holding back in a buy game to focus on CUSA games.

He spent one of the two weeks before the game focusing on CUSA that’s hardly holding back during the game

I would be delighted if it was 3W's out of those 4 games.

Agreed. Looking forward to possibly making my first trip to Athens.

RE: Whatcha thinking this October?
0-4 - disaster
1-3 with a win again JSU - very disappointed
2-2 with losses against UNT and UGA - disappointed
2-2 with losses again Tulane and UGA - content
3-1 - loss to UGA - very happy
4-0 - ain't gonna happen, but would obviously be over the moon ecstatic
Avoiding the loss to a division foe in UNT is my biggest concern, outside of avoiding major injuries or something disastrous..

2-2 is realistic while 3-1 is best case scenario IMO. We aren't beating UGA.

RE: Whatcha thinking this October?
I am expecting 3-1 with a loss to UGA. Of course, I recall thinking the Blazers were correct in 2000 by choosing Kansas over LSU as our "proxy conference game" before that season.
BTW-- The courthouse in Athens had the only double-barreled cannon field piece I have ever seen.

1-3. Nail Biter win over JSU.
Seth Litrell has to turn things around in Denton. I see us being their super bowl. Fritz will look for big revenge in NOLA.
All depends on what we change on offense in the offseason.

I think most people are anticipating the new stadium more than the four games. Regions Field part. Deux

Why’s that? We return a ton of starters and even where we don’t - like WR and RB - we have a proven stable of guys to step up. This is a top 25 team on paper. We’ll be fired up to beat Liberty opening the new stadium. We do that and some eyes will turn to us...especially if we play relatively tight @UGA

Be prepared to pay somebody $25 to park in their front yard 1/2 mile from the stadium.

Yup. If we triple down on the same offense and the same group of QB's, 2-2 at best. Haven't made any staff changes so I'm expecting more of the same.

We're gonna find out where we are as a program. Are we a G5 contender or a pretender? A contender goes no worse than 3-1.

I think that's a pretty good assessment. It's time to take the next step. I'm hoping we are 3-1, and then 4-1 after that first home game vs. Liberty.

RE: Whatcha thinking this October?
We are the team to beat in the West and there’s no debate on that point. If you’ve been reading the “way too early” predictions, most experts agree. But, like I said, if we’re going to drop a road game I really hope it’s Tulane than a conf game.
