Hearing Akron's last game might not be played. Slick way to assure themselves the #3 seed.

The women decided not to play two starters because they thought the seed was irrelevant. Go figure! This has been a crazy season and should be completely forgotten the day after it ends.

So assuming our game is played winner is the 2, loser is the 4. Either way we end up on the opposite side of the bracket from UB. I don't mind avoiding them.

I would hope that these games are cancelled for and only for covid reason. If it has anything to do with seeding then I'm SMH (that means shaking my head) more than ever.

After the first round of this tournament (which doesn’t exist this year) seeding is pretty much meaningless. Your goal is to win the tournament so you have to beat one of the better teams sooner or later. I think some of the coaches might be anxious to cancel some games this week to reduce their chances of a COVID outbreak that would end their season. An abundance of caution is a pretty nebulous standard so why not apply it and rest some players and avoid an outbreak at the worst possible time. It might not be totally In the spirit of the game but I can understand the logic.

This is only partially true.. Tonight's game for the #2 seed is very important. If Toledo is unable to play for some reason the #2 seed would become the top team for an automatic bid should the MAC Tournament be unable to finish.
In most year's I would agree with you, but there is definitely something to be said for the #2 seed this year.

#2 seed means both UT & UB on other side of the bracket, positive momentum & confidence. also, something no one has talked about yet, better shot at NIT bid.

Making me wait in anxious anticipation even though I know whatever it is will make me sad. Thanks.

So Pippen and Hamilton are sitting for a coaches decision, did I hear that right? Any ideas if whatever is going on could keep them out of the tournament?

I doubt you’ll see very many if any mid-majors in the NIT since they cut the field from 32 to 16 and the regular season champs don’t get auto-bids. They’ll fill it up with “name” teams that had lousy seasons. It’s probably NCAA or bust for the MAC this year.
Sounds like bowl season where good teams sat home while the SEC. sent almost everyone, even garbage teams with 2-7 and 2-8 records.

Dan Dackich is a special guy. Our starting C and PF are out and he's harping on how we need to run our offense out of the post. Can someone turn his mic off?

The one ref seems to have called every foul tonight, despite being the furthest away from the play and in a worse viewing angle than the ref right on top of the play and not blowing his whistle.

Down 30-19 on the boards and we're 1-14 from three. Very lucky to still be in this one.

What dakich is getting at is there guarding the 3pt line so you can’t just pass on perimeter to get open. Need to either penetrate and find guys or throw ball down low and see if can either score freeing up perimeter or if post is doubled kick it back out for 3’s.
