RE: Vote for Boone
Been in metro-Atlanta half my life but I had no idea Avondale Estates was known for their beer...

Statesboro will most likely never be known for beer. When I was there, they were more known for the STDs than their IPAs. In the style of Jeff Foxworthy, I've come up with a list to help others know if they're either a GS student or a grad:

1) If beautiful eagle creek tests for more STDs than a GS student, you might be a freshman
2) If you've ever been tested for STDs after getting bitten by a mosquito on campus...
3) If it burns more when you pee than when you're at a noon game at Paulson, you might be a GS grad

I've debated on posting this. Then I thought, there's a better than 50% chance you'd get a DUI trying to find me, so don't even try it. No offense to my fellow GS grads, but what can I say, it's still funny

This all may be true but it speaks more to the population of Georgia and likely more so to Atlanta than it does Statesboro. More than half from the area. In a state of 12 million and little competition we get all kinds from up there. Likely your ilk.

RE: Vote for Boone
I have learned alot of interesting things about this country having a job where I travel all over for 30 weeks a year. One thing I've learned about the craft beer scene everywhere I've been is that every town has a craft beer scene. And everyone thinks their town's scene is the best. I make a point to try the local brews everywhere I go. In general, it all tastes the same, and more often than not isn't all that good. Even saying that, I love how every town has their own unique beer scene. It took almost 100 years for this country to get back to the number of breweries that existed before prohibition (and we have a long way still to go on a per capita basis). It is just great that you can get different beers in every place you go.

What makes a good scene, imo, is a variety of breweries serving interesting options. I havbe only had beer in two of the places on this list - and I'd say Boone is the better of the two.
