Great stat. 34 of which were DRebs so we really cut down on Hawks' second point attempts.

Good news is we prepared to play NE for our last two regular season games so the scout work has been done!

Yep.

I don't have Flo so I just listened on the "radio". Who were the announcers on Flo? Anybody hear how Bobby Dwyer give a minute-long exposition on how, and I quote, "free throws win games"? But what does he know?

I was tied up with family stuff and couldn't watch the game. I go to Flo to catch the replay and... Nothing. Every single CAA game should be archived on there. Ugh.

They usually put up the Replay, but I've never figured out what the time frame is. It isn't quick, however.

It was interesting to note how Dane tightened the rotation tonight. Really only played 7 guys with Rainers getting 1 minute in addition. No Stone.

I thought Jake played well and is continuing to improve. Hope we can keep the same energy and enthusiasm tomorrow night. The whole team and bench seemed really into it. One of our better defensive performances of the year.

Nice to win a tourney game again.

Let’s Go Tribe!!!

Every player did their part tonight. Tighter rotation requires that. Jake stepping into the top guard reserve spot, which is a good sign. He’s the most all-around talented/athletic on the bench. Kochera continues to amaze with his ability to finish around the rim. It must be maddening to defend him bc it doesn’t look like he should be so hard to stop. I liked Blair’s game tonight.

Luke deserves DPOY. What a star.

We need a lot more assists tomorrow to take down NU.

Every game I watched this year I watched recorded. That was 1:00 or 2:00 game, available for sure by 7:30.

Neither caa game is up right now. I messaged there support. I’m pretty furious. We pay way too much for these simple things to not work.

Superior team effort, led by one of Luke's incomparable performances. Dane and staff had players focused and ready to play.

I'm with everyone on FLO Sports. Just awful...

Replay is up. Really enjoyed the defensive effort, and I've always been a believer that good defense creates good offense. The defensive rebounding has been mentioned and was great. Maybe we've done it for a while, but I loved the hard hedges by the bigs on ball screens. Wight looked especially good at it. I recall teams doing it to us all the time, but not doing it ourselves.

I watched on replay last night. But it was harder to find than during the regular season. Assuming today’s game is similar, go to the search and type in “CAA MBB”. It’ll refer to the games by a title of “Full Replay - Hercules Tires CAA MBB Championship”, instead of a title that includes the school names. That’s what made it harder to find yesterday. FYI I started watching at 10pm ET, ~45 minutes after the game concluded.

Amen. Tribal mentioned in a post our last win was 2018. That was over Towson in QF down in Charleston. Seems like more than 3 years ago. Of course many of us can remember going near 10 years without a win.

That was also our first tourney win vs the Seahawks as well, now 1-2.

Northeastern is always tough for us. They also played some tough OOC games in a shortened season and have a terrific coach. Would be a great scalp to get tonight!

Quinn with the put back, buzzer beater tonight.

Thanks, should help me for the same thing tonight. I found the Hercules CAA MBB page and it said no replays, so will try that again.

This was one of the more complete defensive efforts I've seen from this squad all season. Offense and shooting comes and goes. But if you have consistent solid defensive play, you should have a pretty successful season. If this defense carries over and we get some opportunistic scoring, I have no doubt we will be there in the end vs NE.

RE: 2021 CAA tournament
When was the last time we won a game wire to wire? Great defense and rebounding tonight, though I also thought that UNCW missed a lot of easy baskets as well. Hopefully the short bench combined with the full court pressure all night doesn’t hurt us against the Huskies. Kochera is a great finisher at the rim, except I guess on windmill jams. Northeastern hasn’t played since the 17th...hopefully they are rusty tonight. Also, free throws win games! 19 for 21!
