Well, here we are! 3 Huge series that will determine the double byes into the quarters next Thursday.
In the West, LA Tech is finished w/conference play at 12-4. They are scrimmaging with OLOTL to get some work in on 03/04. Rice will entertain the Ladies on 03/06. UAB, which stumbled last weekend vs the RR’s will need to sweep UNT in the Super Pit to steal a dbl bye. No easy task, and more than likely it will be Tech & the Mean Green cruising into the quarters next week.
In the East - 2 big series in Bowling Green & Huntington to determine the dbl byes. ODU travels to the Tops, possibly w/o their leading scorer, needing at least a split to grab the 2nd bye. Marshall hosts struggling Charlotte for 2 in the Cam. The Herd has to sweep (good chance) and hope that Bassey & Co hand the Monarchs 2 consecutive losses. That scenario would mean WKU with the #1 seed and MU grabbing the #2 seed.
So, in both divisions 3 teams vying for 2 byes. Should be a very entertaining weekend of hoops!!!

FAU backs up last night’s 30 point win over MT with a 54 to 63 win. Tonight’s game was a bit ugly in the second half but we are going into the tourney playing our best ball.

WKU by 11 at the half. They’re played like a championship team in the first half, we’ll see if they can sustain. They’re the floppingest team, I’m not saying there weren’t fouls involved in many of the calls but WKU does a good job selling it.
