RE: BOOGIE!!!!!!!
I like the starting lineup with Boogie and LQ, and the late game lineup with LQ and Alo. It works.
Baugh struggles to get us in the offense. He just seems to look for the homerun pass. He is one who could have really benefited from the offseason workouts with Toppert and Penny. He needs to let Miller go, though.

Absolutely true, always getting yanked after a minute or 2 and replaced with Penny's favorite can't be easy. Boogie has endured a lot and has weathered the storm. He is our best option at point guard. Now if Baugh can do the same.

1.2 assists and 1.4 turnovers per game. Seriously?

We all know you think Alex Lomax is just a little better than Elliot Perry, but some of us have watched the games too and think Lomax slows the game down, makes some really weird decisions and is a liability on offense. Lomax has made some great plays at the end of the game, but has had 3 years to improve and he often puts us in the situation where he has to make a great play or we lose. I would pick Boogie, you would pick Lomax.

Easy cmt. This is no place for logic.

Boogie is 7th (SEVENTH) on the team in assists. Boogie has 25 assists in 21 games. Lomax has 42 in his last 7 games. You want him to be our point guard. Obviously, you are blind and there is something wrong with you.

He has been GREAT without the ball, that's for sure.

If the only thing that matters is assists, then you are right. 18 pts, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, but DJ had 4 assists, I guess he should be the point guard? Last time I looked there is a lot more to a game than assists. In fact, they usually pick the winner by most points scored. We are better with Boogie at the point. Lomax is a good back up point guard. But your personal insults really hurt my feelings so...

If you have other playmakers on the floor Boogie is a better fit on the floor than Lomax.

If DeAndre is not creating Lomax is a better fit on the floor...Boogie is a good scorer but he isn't good at getting other guys easy baskets.

Quote:DJ had 4 assists, I guess he should be the point guard?
Seems easy enough to accomplish, except if you are 7th on the team in assists. Boogie's season high for a game is 3. He has done it exactly once. That's who you want as our point guard. 03-lmfao

Quote:If the only thing that matters is assists, then you are right.
OBVIOUSLY, there is so little difference between the two. 42 assists in 7 games versus 25 assists in 21 games is a meaningless stat for POINT GUARDS. Assists are a useless measure. Why would anyone think that someone who has 81 assists is better suited to be the point guard over someone who has 25 assists? Why would anyone think that someone averaging 4.4 assists per game over an entire season would be better suited to be the point guard than someone whose season high is 3, accomplished one time?

When a player has more than ONE assist in 9 out of 25 games, he is the obvious point guard. Who can argue with that? 01-wingedeagle

The worst thing is that our own fans HATE Lomax so much, that they always twist everything as much as possible to show how much they hate him.

It's disgusting.

Why does a praise Boogie thread have to turn into a bash Alo thread?

Different players

Boogie, WHEN ON, can be a great player and he has been on. Lomax has been hugely clutch when needed and is a clear floor leader quite often

We nearly squeezed away a game late at Cincy and his absence was felt. They are BOTH key players and along with Nolley, Lester and Baugh give us a fairly deep D1 backcourt.

Out of all the funny stuff you have posted, this is easily the most hilarious. Some of us have watched the games? Blind hatred of Lomax is all you have. Boogie and Baugh are afraid to initiate the offense. We almost never start the offense with more than 15 seconds, and often with less than 10 seconds when they are running the point. They are both scared to try to initiate anything, because neither can beat their man off of the dribble, and the rare times that they do, they dribble with their head down.

Quote:Now if Baugh can do the same.
Boogie & Baugh
801 minutes
62 assists
3.1/40 minutes

Lomax
409 minutes
79 assists
7.7/40 minutes

We get it. You HATE Lomax so much that for you, it should be anyone but Lomax. Disgusting.

NOTHING good to say about Lomax ever when he is playing well; ignore all of the great stuff he has been doing, make up negative stuff about him, and the minute Baugh or Boogie have a good game, it's time to put the foot on the gas and **** on Lomax as much as possible.

Unbelievable.

What Boogie has had to endure must be pure torture. I don't know how anyone could overcome the impossible obstacle, against all odds and "weather the storm" 01-wingedeagle03-lmfao of playing 1.7 less minutes per game than Lomax.

Praising makes some people uncomfortable. When they focus on flaws, it comforts, stabilizes and energizes them.

Hence a thread that was begun as praise for one person slides off the rails into criticizing another. I remember how they did that to Jeremiah too.

It's good they never have teams to coach. lol

Maybe we can stop pitting them against each other and recognize they’re better together, kinda like Boogie seems to:

Quote: Much of Memphis’ defense relies on successfully studying personnel. Ellis explained that captain Alex Lomax, who missed the past two games with a sprained ankle and is not a lock to play at Houston, has coached him on defensive principles.

“Who I want to force right and who to force left and just doing all the little things that he can because he can’t play right now,” Ellis said.
