ODU are you playing Spring football?
Serious question....

I watched a few 1AA games and was wondering if ODU was trying to pick up a few buy games? Dont know if its possible under the rules since every FBS conference ended up playing.

Might cost a couple million but if its ok to do I would buy as many games as I could. Surely there will be bye weeks added to the 1aa schedules. Gives the new coach a look to see what he actually has on the team. Plus the weeks/months of practice.

Probably not possible to do but if the NCAA allows it. I would take full advantage of not playing during the season. Plus your fans get to see some football.

On a side note I wish 1aa would let their members play two buy games (or all 4) each during the fall and winter then move their 2 other OOC and conference season to the Spring. I like getting to see football in the months that are usually dead. Other than baseball

RE: ODU are you playing Spring football?
Speaking of FCS ball, former UTSA head coach Frank Wilson is now the HC at McNeese State. They won their first game in 2OT a couple weeks ago at Tarleton State with a big 4th quarter comeback. Yesterday they played their first home game under Wilson against UIW (FCS school in San Antonio) and were pounded 48-20. They were already down 31-3 at the half.

Not rooting against him even though he actually blocked me on Twitter while he was our coach because he apparently didn't like some of my criticism. I wasn't even half as bad as some others were either but I backed everything up with facts/stats and he probably didn't want to read it. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't get some amusement out of the fact that his first home game ended up being a pounding by our crosstown team from San Antonio.

I believe they could have played some games this spring. New Mexico State is D1 and they are playing games in the spring and the fall in 21'.

Ed Orgeron's son is the starting QB for McNeese.

Wilson keeps taking the hits from San Antonio. At McNeese he also lost two of his top defensive players. LB Kody Fulp transferred to LA Tech (had to sit out last year) and 1-AA All American DB Darion Dunn left for Texas.

Frank Wilson got the UTSA job based off his great recruiting at LSU, but it isn't hard to recruit players to LSU. They didn't check to see if he could coach.

He meant you could play real opponents in the spring. It looks y'all chose to have a regular spring schedule like all the DI schools.
