If you remember Mickey had 1 helmet, gold with purple JMU on it. I have one on my desk. He also was “old school”. Whiters brought the uni-conflict to JMU. Where is he now?

yeah but Mickey's inability to adjust to the modern uptempo, spread game and his unwillingness to learn to 'twatter' so he could connect with today's kids is why his last few years sputtered out in the end. This is why Nick Saban is still so relevant, his teams have evolved since he was first at MSU and LSU and even his early days at Alabama.

Didnt Cig surprise everyone last season where he had the team change after warmups into all purple against towson? I love once or twice a year going with a blackout or purple out when all the fans get involved as well

Give me a purple out game each year. Don't care much for white out or black out games, but one of either in a year is fine I guess. I also don't mind seeing the guys wearing pink accessories (shoes, gloves, etc.) for breast cancer awareness since that is an important health concern that impacts so many families, including mine. I think Cig may have found a nice balance between Mickey's old school and Houston's rotating wardrobe.

I'd really love to have a Purple & Gold gameday with the students sections given purple or gold t-shirts in alternating sections and the team with purple lids and jerseys and gold pants. Of course I'd like it better with the old gold that's more like the Redskins pants than the modern more metallic gold.

Gold pants seem to be a lost cause for us for whatever reason.

I'm always super impressed when teams are able to coordinate alternating colors. When we played at NC State they did their alternating white and red (IIRC). Would be awesome if we could even get it 75% coordinated based on section.
