I was living away when they changed all the classifications for football and moved the private schools to their own division. Why didn't they change the basketball classifications to match football?

Football was the only reorg that happened. A couple of reasons.

Staying with 3 classifications for all other sports cuts down on travel. Districts aren't as spread out, matching schools with more specific enrollments. Much easier to travel 100 miles for the Friday night football game, than it is 2 times during the week for basketball games.

But the real reason is always $$. Football playoffs add a lot of $$ to schools and to the TSSAA. By going from 3+1 divisions to 5+2, you've almost doubled your playoff revenue.

Starting with the 2021-22 school year football will go from 6 classes to 5 while sports like baseball and basketball will go from 3 classes to 4 in division 1 (public)

Has the potential to be the "true" PG we have been looking for .... More athletic than ALO, but not as physical (yet) .... He reminds me of a poor man's version of Ja Morant .... Hard to describe unless you see him play .... Coach Real at Bartlett has a great philosophy for keeping his players engaged and humble .... Plays 10 - 11 players; I can't remember if he used the same starting 5 two games in a row this year ....
