I agree. I am getting my first COVID vaccination tomorrow. By September, I will have super COVID resistance and you fellas can once again sit on my lap.

Excellent! Congratulations! Will this mean you'll be closing the concession stands with me this fall? No hot dog will be safe.

We will all be back sitting at Huskie Stadium and enjoying the games (if we can fight the rain), but one thing that will not change is the hot dog situation. They will be a rare commodity at the games, and I urge you to pack your own hot dog and bring it into the stadium. If you get stopped at the gate, just tell them that your weeny is a part of you and it goes wherever you do.

Anybody hear anything about HAF / Season Ticket mailings?

It's February. For the couple people working in Athletics, season tickets are the furthest thing in their minds. They first need to determine whether if or how many fans will be allowed in the games. That won't be decided for a while. I do not see this as a normal season. Hope I'm wrong.

I got an email this week from Indiana about buying season tickets. Last Indiana game I went to was probably 4 years ago.

Me too.

I bought tix for IU/OSU in 2017. We did that game on Thursday, NIU/BC on Friday, NW/Nevada Saturday.

I get a few different ones, some teams (college and pro) for a decade. I don't unsubscribe, as evident by my 50k plus unread emails.

We were at the same game. Lee Corso’s return to Bloomington. My clutter box is basically all college teams spamming it lol.

What is this TV you speak of?

The game will be streamed around the globe and quite possibly Mars.

It will also rain. There will be no VCB to turn to for ponchos. Hot dogs....well, I don’t have to tell you now do I.

That is all I can share at this time.

Thanks for the info!

I sure hope the game will be streamed to Mars because I may be there on vacation in October. Need to visit some relatives there. (By the way, they don't have any issues with rain or hot dogs on Mars.)

Maybe we can play one of the big boy teams on Mars rather than SeatGeek. STF, are you reading this?

I bought a ton of rain ponchos when VCB closed, but won't need them on Mars. Maybe I'll trade you this hot commodity for an oxygen tank.

So if they allow the stadium to have 25% capacity, does that mean they will decrease thier normal hot dog order by 75 % to assure that they run out of hot dogs when you come up to the counter?

That is a good question. And the answer is, of course they will decrease their normal order. However, they will decrease it by 90% just to make sure they will run out. Those who are actually able to buy a hot dog will feel victorious like they won the lottery.

The seating situation is an enigma (if not an enema). They have to be figuring that there will be no social distancing. Otherwise, how could they renew everyone’s tickets? People are seated next to each other throughout the stadium. They are risking this. I hope it all works out. I’ve had my shots, so anyone who wants to sit on my lap is welcome.

Penicillin? No way!! I am trying to preserve the efficacy of deposits that I still have on me from my days at the Grotto.

Is the Mars branch of the Grotto still open? That could really help tourism there if it is.

No, unfortunately it closed around the same time as the universal headquarters in DeKalb. The Martians just didn’t know how to use the toys.
