Week 2: Robert Morris at JMU

RMU might be the toughest team we play this spring season. First quarter so far confirming that many dismissed RMU as a competitive football team. I'm confident the Dukes will eventually overpower these guys but it might be a tight one early

ok that pick wasn't good. Cole may have just earned his seat for the half.

Those are incredibly bad reads. Gotta give home time but he is taking forever to release and is staring down receivers.

The one pro that CC have to Cole is that he was the better decision maker. This is obviously not true in game situations. That's two almost pick 6's nearly back to back.

Our defense is winning 2-0!

Unfortunately our offense is losing 0-10.

Stepson is good friends with JT Timming, our starting center, and Cole. I just texted him that he's thrown two horrible INTs. We've got to have a better option. Coach Cignetti needs to quit shaking his head and make a QB change. We're flat as heck....

RE: Week 2: Robert Morris at JMU
Alright, the Cole Johnson experiment is over.

If you notice, he hands off every single read option to the running back (no read, all option)
He does not have great vision, forces throws
Struggles with downfield throws, beyond quick outs and bubble screens

Unfortunately Johnsons upside is game manager, but he doesnt have the requisite ball control skills to carry this out. We need to give Maloney a real shot in standard gameplay, not mop up.
