This is a great game to get on the schedule. I understand LSU and Georgia are paying us, but those games aren’t doing a thing for us. Arkansas provides a real chance at a win.

Still waiting on a P5 home and home series for Protective Stadium.
I'm thinking Vandy, Miss State, Ole Miss, or GA Tech.

What could we offer to power 5 in return for playing us.

Financially we currently would not be a big attendance draw for return match and we IMHO would not be an easy victory

So maybe offer a 2 for 1.

With Bill Clark, new stadium, and the home winning streak that just got snapped last year, do you want to be the AD that signed your P5 school to play in Bham?

I think only realistic option for HnH is Miss St since they have lots of alumni in the area that it'd be close to a home game for them. I think OM & Vandy have too high of an opinion of themselves to come here to play unless it's the bowl game.

I have no idea of the answer but a good question might be to ask what is the travel numbers for fans of average P5 teams when scheduling OOC games with distant G5 programs ? It has been a while, but what number of tickets did Troy have to provide to Mizzou or USM have to provide to Nebraska? Have there been more recent games of that kind? How many tickets might an Arkansas want for its fans to come to B'ham?

Just a thought, but what if a major P5 team demanded we play them at the larger venue of Legion Field?

Arkansas will be behind alabama, lsu, and Texas A&M for the foreseeable future. That’s not changing anytime soon, so at best Arkansas is 4th best in the sec west.

They made an excellent HC hire. His App St. team kicked hell out of us without SEC quality recruits. If you think this game will be anything but tough you need to look again.

Those are enough of a sample to answer ny question about anticipated visiting P5 program ticket demand for a game in B'ham. Thanks for the info.

I think you're confusing Arkansas and Missouri. Arkansas' HC is Sam Pittman who was the OL coach at Georgia prior to Arkansas. Missouri's coach is Eli Drinkwitz who was at App State prior to Mizzou.

Thank you bringing this up, Ive brought it up before. Whatever the excuse is for us not being able to get a P5 program at our place has no merit. There's so many other low level G5 teams that are able to do it. Why cant we?
