26 turnovers
Is that a Tiger record? Would think it has to be a record with a win?

RE: 26 turnovers
I'm surprised Penny took on this extensive job given his financial situation and social status. It's people like you that made me ask myself "why is he taking on the role of UofM HC?!"

Thank God he did and continues to!

Coming off an unprecedented 3-week layoff during which practice wasn't even allowed. Yeah, we struggle with turnovers. Don't make it more than it is.

I wonder if our current #2 ranking in Defense is a record?

RE: 26 turnovers
Until the last couple of years one thing you could count on in Tigers basketball was a consistent 2-1 ratio of assist vs turnover. It's been bad recently.

Don’t make it more than it is? lol. Well, somebody needs too...it’s why we are not in the tournament discussion, why we have lost at least 4 more games than we should have, why it’s hard to watch a win against Tulane at home and why there is no national respect in what Penny is putting out there right now.

Go defense...

Bingo.

What matters is turnovers as a percentage of possessions, if you have 15 turnovers and score 90 points it is a lot better than having 12 turnovers while scoring 60 points

That's a very good point......A tremendous amount of pressing/trapping in that game and most of them.....High paced going to be simple giveaways.....As the stats indicate that the TO's are unforced, basically means it's a rhythm/timing issue as opposed to teams playing incredible defense against us.....P.S. love the action of Landers getting into the foul lane area for that pull-up jumper and the two-man action with Dandridge and Williams looked really good

Yes.
And what was the disparity of points off turnovers? that says more than anything else, IMO.

2 to's in the final 30 seconds didn't help.
Missing Lomax in the 2nd half didn't hlep.
Tulane looked more like a "rust" game, and this looked more like the O was prior to the Pause - but without the primary engine.

Having Lomax at the end would have helped but overall it gave Boogie some more playing time. Without Boogie's 17 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and only 1 turnover we would have been sunk.

Agree with that and like the improvement we're seeing from Boogie since he's been inserted in the starting lineup.

But Baugh would not have been in there to turn it over, trying to break the desperation press. And Deandre would not have been running point so many possessions in the 2nd half, where he committed a couple of to's.
