Rivalry Games
Michigan and Northwestern are creating a trophy for their (one-sided) rivalry: https://www.clickondetroit.com/all-about...ge-jewett/

What's stopping EMU for formalizing Rivalries with Toledo or even Buffalo? The michigan MAC trophy is profoundly lame.

Or even separate trophies for CMU and WMU. CMU and WMU have one separate from the Michigan MAC trophy.

I could see a Michigan brand getting involved as a marketing opportunity and creating the EMU-CMU or EMU-WMU trophy "sponsored by Meijer" or whatever. The Michigan MAC trophy was created by the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame, for example.

there's a bunch of porn shops on 94 about halfway between Ypsi & Kalamazoo. maybe we could get one of them to sponsor a trophy.

To me the obvious choices would be:
Western
Central
Toledo
Buffalo

you just need both schools to agree. we dont need an uncivil conflict thing happening:

I’d replace Buffalo with NIU.

Dear Friends,
I agree with holybovine. I don't see Buffalo as a rival. In rivalries, don't schools have to be somewhat close to one another, so that the fans can attend the games? How many fans are going to travel to Buffalo, compared to Toledo?

Ypsi is a 5 and a half hour drive from ypsi across a time zone. amherst ny is a 4 hour 45 minute drive from ypsi in the same time zone (and has better food).
