RE: CUSA Basketball- February 25- March 1
I don't think winning % will matter, like football, due to the covid issues. Just losses. So if they are equal with MU and ODU, it'll go to the next tie breaker right? Which is???

I was at the game. Tense!! The Mean Green’s last possession was reminiscent of WKU’s in the ‘18 Conf Champ game vs the Herd. A 10 ft floater that hung on the rim before (finally!) falling off. Exhausting! Good win (Quad I, correct?) against a really good team. The 3 pt shooting by your guard was amazing. Would love to hook up again this season....

goherd24 - if both teams finish with 5 losses, does % matter? ODU gets it if so. Head to head was 1-1, so would it be record w/in division?

If both teams have 5 losses, ODU gets it by having more wins and a higher %.

No. I don't believe so, but I'm asking to see if anyone knows. Football already addressed this issue where FAU would have went to title game based on percentage, but that didn't apply due to covid messing up schedules, aka not fair to punish teams for not being able to play.
I'd assume basketball would skip the win PCT tie breaker and go to what's next, which would be what? Can anyobe tell me what the next tie breaker is?

North Texas was not a quad 1 win for Marshall since Marshall was the home team. Home games can only be quad 1 if the road team is a Top 30 NET.
Marshall, however, can turn into quad 1 games for North Texas if Marshall can move up a few spots to Top 75 NET. So we are definitely rooting for Marshall against Charlotte this week.

So if we’re 11-4 and Marshall is 9-5 you think that’ll be a tie and go to a tiebreaker? The conference site has LT at 12-4 above NT at 9-3 currently. So I think conference winning percentage is the first measure.

.......looks like % is the kingmaker. Both divisions' double byes up for grabs headed into the final weekend! La Tech / UNT / UAB (even though they lost last weekend?)
in the West, &
WKU / ODU / MU in the east....

UAB plays UNT. One is 11-5, the other is 9-3. La tech has 4 losses. Any way you look at it, how do you not see UAB in the running because of the fifth loss?

You can't look at the raw W & L numbers. Because the number of games played won't be the same across the board our overlords have decided win % in conference is the gauge so...
Today:
UAB 11-5 68.75%
UNT 9-3 75.00%
LA Tech 12-4 75.00%
UAB Sweeps:
UAB 13-5 72.22%
UNT 9-5 64.29%
LA Tech 12-4 75.00%
UAB Splits:
UAB 12-6 66.67%
UNT 10-4 71.43%
LA Tech 12-4 75.00%

In the East - Marshall has to sweep Charlotte & ODU has to get swept by Western for the Herd to get the 2nd Dbl bye in our division.........

My point was UAB is in contention. That was all. There was nothing about the numbers that indicate otherwise. That being said, UAB will be lucky to take on game at UNT, let alone two.

Looking forward to the weekend series with ODU. Our games with the Monarchs always tend to be very hard fought contests. Hoping we can get Frampton and Anderson back healthy.

My guess is just the opposite is true.
When there is an unequal number of games played, they are not going to cede based on number of wins or loses.
See, no reason why they would change from usual winning percentage rankings. CUSA may have a minimum game played provision, but I doubt it comes into play.

UTSA 107 - SW Adventist 36 with 7:00 more minutes remaining. I think this is a felony assault in some states.
