RE: MEMPHIS -12.5 vs Tulane
With 26 turnovers tonight, we now have 314 turnovers in 19 games for an average of 16.5 turnovers per game. Before tonight, we averaged 16 turnovers a game which was ranked #26 in the NCAA. Tonight’s performance pushed us up to #12 in average turnovers per game, tied with Auburn and Charleston Southern.

Because of losing to a team with 26 turnovers ?
Exactly. Memphis had twenty-whatever turnovers, fatigued from Covid, rusty after 18 days off...and still throttled Tulane.

Any season, but especially this one, all that matters is winning and moving on to the next one.

RE: MEMPHIS -12.5 vs Tulane
a really weird game
i had forgotten about the pop, pop, pop during the game, sounded like gun shots, i think they said it was fireworks on the cat walk
i young dude near us, full of beer and vinegar was tossed out with about 5 minutes to go, i think repeated face mask issues
no flow to the game, all the turnovers , fouls, reviews
the refs looked rusty, inconsistent calls
a lot is lost on the tv broadcast

I would propose that Penny did a good job coaching last night. They overcame a LOT to get another conference win.

It hits older folks harder.
Seriously, he was fatigued badly.
Very rusty overall. Not fair to say "awful" because of the circumstances.
Still came out, played hard, got the win, covered the spread, and moved up in KenPom.

RE: MEMPHIS -12.5 vs Tulane
Any win is a good win, right? Not a tape anyone will want to watch again, so burn that and move on. Nice to get a game in and not have to play one of the top teams. UG-LEEEE!! Frustrating to watch. No flow, constant stoppages, yuck.
