What a racket
Rant over
Congratulations Solohawks! You along with all other graduates, except for those working in the bursar's office, were selected for the honor of doubling your graduation fees under the super secret COVID revenue enhancement policy! Yes everyone's notification was never sent due to COVID and it is your honor, since you will no longer be paying tuition, purchasing a meal card, or utilizing campus housing, to cover a crappy year with just another hundred dollars of your hard earned money. Be proud that all of the faculty still got their COLA's in part thanks to you!
If you somehow feel miffed, or just plain screwed, just laugh it off because it will be nothing compared to the abuse you will now enjoy at the hands of your corporate employer! Yes you can look forward to many many more hours of CBE's telling you how privileged you are, you will be passed over for promotion, unless of course you are a preselected minority with at least one or more other self limiting factors to be promoted.
And there's more! You will be the first to be laid off during any kind of drawback and you should be thrilled to take the punishment for all white males and their privilege no matter how much your family needs the income. When you are 50 if you have a comorbidity you will be eligible for firing without notice so that the company insurance premiums remain low and based upon an average age that covers the dinosaurs still working as executives for your company.
It's a wonderful life sir, even if you never leave Bedford Falls and you live in a rundown house with your sweetheart and 3 children in need of new shoes and basic necessities. If everyone suffers isn't life just!
Besides what do you really need? Affirmation, success, money? All of these things simply show you haven't suffered enough! Just be thankful that a company owns you cradle to grave and that you will never have to think, just accept the course in life they've mapped out for you!
And if you get depressed one of their clinics will give you your first fentanyl and from there you will trip on out of this best of all possible worlds likely within 2 years. Just keep that insurance up for kiddies and all is good!
