[NEWS] Supreme Court rules Trump must surrender tax documents to New York prosecutor.
(02-22-2021 10:17 PM)TIGERCITY Wrote:  Trump's former colleague and disbarred lawyer, Michael Cohen, might be able to provide context with regard to Trump's tax documents. We will see. Considering Cohen's statements before all of this that Trump has said that the IRS is easy to fool and Trump himself has said he is brilliant at avoiding taxes. Again we will see. Outside of that a lot of questions are raised. How are the millions in payments to Ivanka Trump justified? One time payments made to individuals otherwise unassociated with Trump (hush money) and to whom. Why the complicated scenario with rent money? Why the extra effort it takes to do that? Surely we have to wait to see what happens. In the meanwhile we'll see what extra evidence Trumps tax documents provide related to this. How that support existing testimony/statements or doesn't. Whether others now come forward or don't.

How many businesses you ever owned and run?

Similarly, how many tax attorneys, CPA’s and the like have you ever employed? This is what they do. It’s called taking care of their client. Shelter, expense, depreciate, write off, write down, and finally figure out how to plow as much as possible into covered retirement vehicles.

Are you NOT paying someone to do all that for you? If not, why not?

I kinda get the chronic TDS, cause he thinks individuals should be responsible for themselves and their families.
Which is exactly what he’s now being accused of by this hack Cyrus Vance. I recall what a disaster his pappy was a generation ago, seems that Apple didn’t fall far from the tree.
Sad Jr. can’t make up for Daddy’s utter incompetence.

The possibility of Trump doing jail time has the Left salivating over this like a dog over a T Bone. Mark it down. This goes no where beyond a possible fine...if that.

Again, since some here apparently still don't get it. With claims that one can't effect the tax assessment of their properties or that the requested tax information couldn't possibly provide any useful information. This AP article covers what will be likely be requested in the New York prosecutors subpoena (Trump's tax-related information) and how that new information might help in the criminal investigation of El Cheeto head. But of course the Trumper Humpers will call this another biased source or a Witch Hunt or whatever excuse the cultist apply to the shitshow that tumbles out of Trumps clown car next. Like I said time will tell:-)

You see what you did there (in bold). You expose your already obvious bias and your complete dishonesty as a result.

If Trump did something illegal then he should be accountable - period. If Biden or his kid did something illegal, then they should be held accountable in the same vein.

The real question is, What specific crime are they investigating, and what is the probable cause? In America you can't just pick a person and turn his life upside down to find a crime. Witch hunt. Paying where's to keep their mouths shut is not a crime.

If paying hush money in this instance wasn't a crime then you need to stop by and let American Media and Michael Cohen know. Both served as the conduits for the hush money and both have now admitted to the illegal activity. American Media cut a plea deal and Michael Cohen got a prison sentence for something that, according to you, wasn't crime.

Only in the Democratic banana mini-republics like New York City, Atlanta and Austin.

Article basically admits its a fishing expedition. And admits there is absolutely nothing in the tax returns except for stuff that would already have been audited by the IRS.

They are also asking for financial statements, which you were too financially illiterate to understand. That will provide more information than the tax returns and a small number of things like related party payments, but not most of the stuff the media is salivating about.

Attorney they interview sounds also like a financial illiterate.

Again, this article, if you understand accounting and taxes, says they have nothing and don't really know what they are looking for.

I'll give you one simple example and then ignore any more ignorant postings by you on this topic. If you want "hush" payments, you list the people and ask for all payments to those people. You ask for list of attorney's payments in that same time frame in case it went through an attorney. Then you see how those things were charged to the books. You start at the bottom with something specific you want to see. You don't start at the top.

Its a flagrant abuse of power by the DA against a political opponent.

And hush money IS NOT a crime unless you are paying it to hide illegal activity. Having an affair with a stripper is legal in this country.

The problem Shere, is not that the media coverage is mildly retarded, it's that the vast majority of the young public are imbecilic. Or, to use your descriptor FFR, Full Ffing Retard!

People our age refuse to grasp the complete inability to reason and think that the young people, who have been programmed to recognize a carefully taught answer, and to receive likes for agreeing, exhibit daily. For any kind of justice to exist you need more than a rabble. This is more like the rabble during the French Revolution than it is a free people called to think!

So as long as the basement dwelling zit faced warriors are called upon to think they will just keep shouting "Grup, grup, grup!" and demanding the old man who ran things so well to be condemned.

We are beyond an appeal to reason plain and simple! You can't reason with morons!

Theyll have to suffer before they understand. History repeats.

that's how I've trained my daughter to 'think forward'....don't be the problem...be part of the solution...

Is asking you too much, if you don't know what you're talkin about, to do a little bit of research before you post? Aren't you the guy that claimed that tax assessments couldn't be manipulated? Now that you've moved into a new realm of your ignorance. The money paid, the hush money, was made in support of Trumps campaign for the presidency. They were illegal contributions to Donald J Trump's campaign. That's why Michael Cohen went to prison. That's why American video cut a plea deal. I mean it takes very little to go look this up since apparently you weren't aware something that was splashed all over the news.

I'm aware of it. I'm also aware of the Charlottesville fine people hoax. Just because people say absolutely completely idiotic things doesn't mean I have to take it seriously.

Its about as serious as saying someone paying Trump for staying in his hotel is a campaign contribution since he funded much of his own campaign.

If this was just about putting Trump in jail then getting them under oath for 5 minutes would do it. The iridescent orange bastard literally can't go that long without lying.

No different than auditing voter ballots or the machines that count them. Trump is probably screwed and that is fine if he really did break the law.
Any criminal activity should be held to the Statute of Limitations like all citizens.

I don't disagree with that. Point still stands, if you (or anyone) break the law you are subject to the law as it applies. If the statute of limitations has passed, then I guess you are good - on a technicality, but you are good.

Cohen went to prison for 5 counts of Tax Fraud and for making false statements to a bank. Not to mention the "taxi token" sceme he was involved in. Also for lying to Congress about the Trump team dealing with Trump Moscow into 2016, which it DID NOT. The prosecutors just wanted to get a jab at Trump by having Cohen "plead" to doing so called "dirty deeds" for Trump. Again, paying blackmailers is NOT a crime. If that were the case, I can take uncomfortable pictures of you on vacation and tell you I will release them if you don't pay me and YOU will be the one committing a crime. How do you think Cohen found out the two whores were going to go to the Press? In a dream? They contacted them first for a payday. Along with a dozen other chicks during Trump's professional life.

It really doesn't take long to look up this information for yourself. Linked below the first thing that came up using Google, it was easy to find, and it tells you right in the first paragraph (hell it tells you in the link) -- so you don't have to read much. Some of you guys need to get Parler out of your ass, expand your world, and maybe consider other sources.
