As of today, the American sits atop ALL conferences at the NCAA baseball championship tourney in W/L @ 5-0. Here's an excellent link to a summary of the regional championships so far, with those conference records at the end of the story.

Go South Florida and ECU.

It's a damn good baseball conference. The clear area where it's an upgrade over the old Big East. UC was right in the thick of it with every team not named ECU this year. Disappointing end to the season, but really encouraging where the program seems to be it's last two seasons.

Undoubtedly, if the bullpen situation was better this year, they'd have been a tournament team.

Joey Weimer is on one since moving up to High A.

In 9 games since his promotion:

Hitting a slash of .387/.486/.983 with 5 home runs so far and has home runs in 8 of his last 11 games in the minors

This year in A and High A he is hitting .288 with 14 HRs and 50 RBIs in 84 games with 23 steals.
