Tulane's RPI is sliding like crazy...probably contributed a bit. Clemson just got swept, so those losses continue to look worse, Wichita State lost to Memphis which dropped them down to the high 80s. Louisville has dropped 6 out of their last 7, so that win is far less valuable as well.

It's ashame uc finished .5 games behind wichita. Uc is the better team but had two ecu series to navigate. The 3 seed would have been a way better draw.

It really is.

UC enters this week's AAC tournament scorching the baseball at the plate and with a core group of pitchers that have really settled in. I'm not predicting 2019 all over again, but if ECU is somehow eliminated, watch out for our 'Cats.

Assuming though that ECU wins as predicted and there is no "at large" bid for Cincinnati, what will it take for Googins to get this program to that next level? In my mind, he's done a fine job, especially for a non-southern team in a very competitive southern conference.

I'm curious: are successful northern baseball teams, ever utilizing their schools' indoor football practice facilities to enable them to get a faster start pre-conference? Weather is often a factor with UC's early season home games too. A split at Clemson and a sweep of X would suddenly make this season's record more impressive.

We do...every year. Pretty sure everyone that has those means does, because football is limited in how they can use them.

Baseball at 9 am takes me back to my childhood when I played in a community league on Saturday mornings.

RE: Baseball thread
UC up 2-1 after a first inning HR by UCF followed up by a steal at home after a dropped 3rd strike by Mercer and RBI single by Komistek. UCF's pitcher has bounced about 5 pitches in the first inning already.

Now he's overadjusted and putting everything over the heart. Going to be a short stint for him...hopefully not for the whole team.

He has settled down after that awful 2 out stretch in the second. Now they need to get some runs.

Maybe. UC's starter really only had one bad stretch. He's retired the last 7.

Bases still loaded. 2 outs. UCF just walked in the last 2. 6-4 UC.

UC hitters smartly keeping their bats on their shoulders as UCF walks in 3 straight runs with the bases loaded.

True. And he's been our best starter this year. We might get there this inning just by walks.

He just mowed them down after the 2nd. Hope the middle relief can carry this out.

Relief pitcher comes in for the 6th inning and mows the Knights down 1-2-3.

So far so good, I will feel a little better if we can knock in a couple more runs.

And just like that...we strand bases loaded, and UCF jumps on us in the top of the 8th. One run in already, with men on 2nd and 3rd with no outs.

Both find their way home...8-7 with one out in the 8th.
