Brutal way to end the game. Regardless the team fought back after being down early. First game in a month and limited practices, all things considered this game gives us some hope next week. It didn’t affect our seeding in any way and most of the other teams didn’t play this week due to COVID.

To anyone who didn't watch, Hunter Woods got a steal when Okauru threw the ball away, and Kris Wooten made a three at the buzzer to win 80-77. Hofstra did that against you once where you could have held for the final shot in a tie game, committed a turnover, and allowed a basket. Wooten's 12 points were all from threes. Elon made 11 threes. Darius Burford had 17 at halftime and led all players with 20. Pridgen made 9 of 12 field goals and led you with 21. Gadsden scored 20. The leading scorer in the CAA among the players on either team was Hunter McIntosh, who scored 17 and fouled out. Nobody had a double-double. Boggs had 6 points and led you with 8 rebounds. Ikenna Ndugba had 13 points, led all players with 9 rebounds, and tied Woods and Harvey for the most assists with 4. Elon had only 4 turnovers with nobody having more than one. Okauru had 4 of your 10 turnovers.

THIS! If anything this game showed Shy is our best playmaker! He has an uncanny ability to get the ball to the rim consistently or pass it out to a shooter.

Siddle: Phillips is a “system fit.” Yes he is. The future will be bright for him under Siddle!

Siddle was gushing about Shy in the postgame interview. Raved about how well he can score in the paint, defend, and how tough he is.

Says he’s a perfect system fit and he can’t wait to work with him a full offseason and season.

Looks like we face W&M in the 7-10 game.

Mike is good but the ball needed to be in Shykeim’s hands to set it up and then do his thing. People can not guard him.

again, I ask, why not call a timeout there? Set something up, can get the ball in Shy's hands. Coach used his timeouts very wisely the rest of the game but this is a miss to me.

It was senior night so I get it. It just didn’t work out. He should have just shot the ball after getting off balance but it was his night to be the guy. Mike has done some really good things for this team. And, Ty played well today too.
