I guess it does not matter that the Rockets took 3 of 4 games from the falcons and putting 19 runs on the scoreboard today... Well I guess there is always Wright State baseball since you are not interested in watching UT baseball ...

Wright State baseball is consistently very good from one year to the other, I want to see the Rockets duplicate this. Not that I am against Rocket baseball, I support the women's game. I believe they have a better chance of consistently having a winning program.

Went to the game downtown. What a fun night and great baseball game to watch. Triple play! A great shut down in the 9th with the bases loaded! The Rockets looked to be the stronger team. Really hit Bg hard all night. Great idea that I hope they do every year. Some great video and media presentations for both programs. Great night of fun baseball.

RE: BASEBALL!!!
If a creative mind can come up with a way to replicate SOME of the 5th/3rd environment on the cheap, then baseball would seem to be sustainable on campus, right? Many of the people at the Hen's game seem to be paying to socialize in an atmosphere rather than watch a full baseball game. they're interested in the beginning, then ending, and eating/talking/standing around socializing for the rest.

I know some have suggested that land up on Westwood for a park. I thought no way but if it could be fit, how cool an overlook of campus from a path around the outfield that would be? That would be a campus patio like no other. Eh, might have to put some of the outfield on stilts. Even COOLER! $$$$

Park needs to point in the proper direction for sunlight. that was my biggest beef with the master plan idea. I relegated softball to playing in the wrong direction while requiring the expense of relocating established roads on campus. I prefer the suggestion I have made in the past about putting both fields on the land of the computer center and up toward Savage between Fetterman and Douglas. Direct access to the indoor facility and on campus. Computer center in days of laptops and tablets seems like a potentially moveable infrastructure.

Last I was in the computer center, it was also the IT offices. Even if not, knocking down something usefull adds to the cost of building a ball park. Might be hard to sell that idea unless the right pork/donation comes in. Shame too. It's a nice idea. MY lottery money comes in? I'm think world's largest turn-table. Sun? We got your sun, son!

BASEBALL!!!
After taking three of four from NIU this weekend the Rockets find themselves in 3rd place in the MAC at 21-15.

THIRD

They wrap up the season at Scott Park next weekend vs first place CMU.

There are some in baseball circles that have speculated that the MAC might be a two bid league (CMU and BSU). The fact that are Rockets are third behind these two programs is a tribute to what Coach Rob has accomplished in his short time here.

Hey MAC how about letting fans come next week

https://www.collegebaseball.info/post/nc...watch-5-22

Two losses this weekend by BSU vs OU might hurt that bid

After starting the season 2 - 11, what an incredible turn around from the start of their season! Seems like there's a bright future for Rocket baseball.

In three of the four games vs conference champ CMU, the Rockets competed and loss one run games that lead to the Chips securing the title

Taking the conference champs to 1-0 game in the clincher is pretty impressive. Need to improve the pitching depth but there is hope for this program

RE: BASEBALL!!!
The baseball program had a great turnaround resulting in a positive season . I still think a spruce up of the Scott Park facility would help ...
